Construction is already underway on the new restaurant.Ī new bar offering cocktails, Michigan wines, and a mixture of imported and Detroit-brewed beers is also on the docket for the casino floor. In addition to noodles, the establishment will serve nigiri, sashimi, and sushi rolls.
One of those restaurants is expected to be a ramen bar “with a Detroit twist” and pop culture decor. The space will be redubbed Monroe Market and updated with the introduction of six fast-casual eateries. Meanwhile, the casino developers have also outlined plans for a “multimillion-dollar” renovation of the former Market District casino area. According to a release, new exterior and interior signage is slated to be installed with the help of a helicopter on September 30. Earlier this summer the exterior Greektown signage was removed from the 30-story building. Rock Gaming LLC, which is owned by Dan Gilbert’s Rock Ventures LLC, announced the impending JACK branding changes in February 2016. Next spring the casino is expected to relaunch with a renovated food court area complete with several fast-casual restaurants and and expanded selection of cocktails, wines, and beers. The Greektown Casino-Hotel’s transition to the JACK Casino-Hotel is underway and with it some new food and beverage options.
